Conditions and their Effect on Consciousness

Dementia- Greatest effect is on extended consciousness and loss of autobiographical self. Begin to see in the early stages. Core consciousness will begin to be affected in the latter stages of the disease

Aphasia- Both core consciousness and extended consciousness are preserved in aphasia

Epilepsy- Both core consciousness and extended consciousness are impaired during an epileptic episode
