Guillain-Barré Syndrome

A rapid, progressive demyelinating PNS disease that is most common form is autoimmune in nature. There is progressive paralysis over 1 month, but then patient begins to recover over weeks/months. Many patients experience complete recovery. At the most serious stage, patients usually need ventilator support. There is no cure.
